Solution:
I worked with VBS at the time and it was in the beginning of the discussions of selling cars online. I wanted to experiment how it could be to merge the way fashion companies present products with of the needs a car brand. Fashion industry has come a long way in finding good ways in presenting and selling products online. Lets learn from those who knows!
I came up with a design which showcase the car and give the possibility to look at it through different angles, zoom in, share it and configure it - all in one screen.
In this course we also trained on writing flows and doing charts for different user scenarios.
So, here is a suggestion on a product page for a car, where you can buy the car directly. No need to go through a configurator or other nested process. Place it, pay and get it delivered:
We analysed existent e-commerce sites and visualised the number of screens (each screen can contain several user steps) that we found based on pre-defined scenarios. Here is one of them, for a bookstore. Scenario: Look for Book X and buy it.
Another scenario which turned out to be quite a bad route. Showing way too many screens for someone who just wants to buy a e-book and read it upfront.
